This Eastern Rat snake was kept and then dropped at a rehabber in Newport News. The location of where it was found was not given. When certain species, as reptiles are found they must be returned to their original habitat. If this is not known the animal under regulations by the Department of Wildlife Resources is required to be euthanized or placed.
