Original Warship Recognition Models were used in the 1940s to train US Navy sailors to recognize warships at sea. Designed at 1:1200 scale, these models were produced by H.A. Framburg of Chicago to be extremely accurate.
This set was acquired in Germany in the 1950s and is displayed in a custom hardware case which can be hung on the wall. Individual ships regularly sell from $30 and up to collectors.
Waterline Recognition Models are cast in a mix of metals which includes Lead. They should be kept away from children and not used as toys.
