18 Warship recognition models first produced in 1942 as a way to train US Navy Sailors for recognizing Allied ships at sea. At 1:500 scale, these teaching models, produced by H.A. Framburg (Chicago), were the most anatomically accurate scale models of that era. Each model is displayed on a painted blue board with the ship identified on the bottom. Models feature cast metal deck structures, armament, funnels, movable gun turrets, and other details.
This set of British Navy models were acquired in Germany (late 1950s) with the original instructor box.
Comes with large wooden case.
